Oman Housing Bank

The Iskan Program aims to expedite the provision of subsidized housing loans to citizens who are listed on the waiting lists of the Oman Housing Bank and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. This is achieved through a partnership between Oman Housing Bank, various local banks (conventional and Islamic), whereby the applications in the waiting list are passed through the local banks.

How the program works

  • The bank notifies the citizens on the waiting lists according to priority.
  • The citizen has to resort to this electronic platform to submit the application.
  • If the program's lending requirements are met, the citizen then chooses the preferred bank to deal with.
  • The Preferred Bank communicates directly with the citizen through this platform and through other means of communication.
  • Finally, the preferred bank lists the subsidized financing for the beneficiary citizens.
